Ari - Wellformative CEO

I recently had an interesting discussion with a friend of mine – apparently, he never drinks water! When he’s thirsty, he grabs juice, milk, soda, or a beer. This news surprised me, considering how much I enjoy drinking water. I can always tell when I haven’t had enough water…I’m sluggish, I don’t think all that clearly…I get irritable. And it’s not just after a work out…I try to have some water next to me all day long.

Although I can’t imagine going a day without drinking water, it made me wonder…how many other people out there are like my friend? How many millions of Americans simply DON’T drink water every day. It’s a scary thought—and even scarier when you talk about kids.

Lately I’ve been hearing how many children these days just don’t like the taste of water, and they don’t want to drink it! While it’s no big surprise that children like sweet, sugary drinks, the health consequences are enormous. Children that drink enough water (and don’t overload on the sugary sodas and juices) are going to feel better, do better in school, and be better prepared for a solid, healthy life.

So let’s all try this…tomorrow morning, let’s all drink a large glass of water as part of our morning routine. If you are hydrated as you start your day, you’ll be able to concentrate better, focus better, and just FEEL better. And at lunchtime, instead of diet soda, let’s treat ourselves to another glass or two of water.

I’ve learned that sometimes the smallest changes can have the most profound impact…this one’s a no-brainer.

Here’s a quick guide for how much water you should be drinking.

You brush your teeth at least once a day (hopefully!) but do you consume enough Omega-3′s? A new study explored the connection between Omega-3′s and gum disease. Researchers found that participants in a recent study who consumed foods rich in Omega-3 oils were less likely to develop gum disease. Of course, eating foods rich in Omega-3 shouldn’t replace regular visits to the dentist or good oral hygiene. However, the research is compelling and it will be fascinating to see how it develops. Read the full story here: http://yhoo.it/a0UEvy
